Baked Apples

A beginner chef can make these delicious apples. easy and no mess.

Ingredients

  • 6 green apples granny smith are great
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks or raisins
  • 6 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp red cinnamon candies *optional
  • 6 Tbsp cookie crumbs or granola
  • 2 Tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Core apples and score the top half of each one, using the tines of a fork. Place each apple on an 8 inch length of heavy duty foil or parchment paper.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients together. Fill the cavity of each apple with filing. Securely wrap each apple into a loose packet and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  3. Cook apple packets in the oven at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until tender.
  4. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whip cream. Enjoy! If you bake these in the morning and they are wrapped in foil, they will still be warm for a school or work lunch.
