French Toast

  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Oil or cooking spray oil

  • Confectioners' sugar
  • maple syrup or Jam (optional)

  1. Crack the eggs into a large shallow mixing bowl and whisk well. Add the milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and whisk until well combined.
  2. Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture in the bowl, turning it to coat both sides with the mixture.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat until hot, about 3 to 5 minutes. Melt 1 teaspoon of the butter or oil in the skillet, then add a slice of coated bread, and cook until the bread is golden brown and crusted on the bottom, about 2 minutes. Turnover and cook until both sides are golden, about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the French toast with confectioners' sugar or/and serve with maple syrup or Jam if desired.

Recipe Notes
