Horchata de Avena- Oatmeal Drink

The fruit is optional. Oatmeal is so good for you that this is a drink that you should give this a try if you never have had it.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups oatmeal not instant oatmeal
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 6 cups water or milk
  • 1 cup fruit of your choice optional
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Place everything in the blender, blend until smooth, about 3 minutes Strain and serve.
  2. This may be served warm or cold.
  3. Note: I love this warm in the winter on a cold morning and cold the rest of the day.
