Indian Mango Lassi
Mango Lassi is a delicious and healthy drink very popular drink in India and at Indian restaurants everywhere. They are so easy to make at home. A mango lassi is basically a healthy yogurt mango smoothie.
You can make Mango Lassi with cubed fresh mango or canned or frozen mango pulp. If you use fresh mangos, depending on how ripe and sweet, you may need to add slightly more or less honey.
Cardamon is the flavor the makes this so special and unique flavor. You can use cardamom powder or if you have cardamon pods, crush the pods to remove the seeds, then grind the seeds with a mortar and pestle.
A mint sprig and a little ground cardamom sprinkled on top is perfect and it is so refreshing!
- 2 cup mangos about 3 or 4
- 2 cup yoghurt
- 1/2 tsp cardamon
- 4 Tbsp honey
- 5 to 10 ice cubes optional
Peel and cut up Mangos. .
Place the ingredients in the blender. Add some ice, blend until smooth.
Serve with a pinch of cardamon and a mint leaf for a garnish
