Old-Fashioned Meatloaf has become a family favorite recipe for generations. Moist and delicious, simply add a salad, potatoes and another vegetable for an all-American meal. This is a recipe that can be made into several small meatloaves and frozen for later. Bake your frozen meatloaves directly out of the freezer and it will be ready to serve any time. I love it with mushroom gravy.

- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef or a combination of ground lamb, pork, sausage, or turkey
- 1/2 cup ketsup
- 4 tbsp Parmesan cheese grated
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 cup mushrooms chopped
- 1/4 cup red bell pepper chopped
- 2 tbsp parsley chopped
- 1 tbsp Worchersterie Sauce
- 1 tsp oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup red wine or broth
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/3 cup catsup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a loaf pan or other baking dish.
Combine all ingredients, by hand, is the easiest. Shape and place into a greased loaf pan. If you are making it with children, make sure they wash their hands after touching the raw meat. Children like to make this dish.
Make a topping with the last 4 ingredients. Brush over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake for one hour. Let the meatloaf stand for 5 minutes before cutting
Alternative: You can also bake in muffin tins so that you have a perfect one-person serving. Freeze unnecessary mini meatloaf, for up to 3 months, for future meals. Keep in a well-sealed container or freezer bag.
Meatballs: Use a 1/4 measure or an ice cream scoop, to scoop out your meat and shape into balls for meatballs for your sauce or soup. Add meatballs to your spaghetti.
