Popcorn Balls

Great for a Halloween Treat or as any other party dish. Great for a picnic.

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1/2 cups light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 cups popped corn


  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water, syrup, vinegar, and salt. Stir in vanilla.
  2. Pour over popped corn, tossing gently to coat. When the mixture is cool enough to handle, grease hands with butter and quickly shape the coated popcorn into 3-inch balls with lightly greased hands. Cool completely on waxed paper. Wrap with plastic wrap and store at room temperature
