Raisin Scones

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Oil or butter a cookie sheet pan 2/3 cups raisins
  2. Grind the oatmeal in a food processor or blender. Mix the dry ingredients together. Cut in the butter. Add raisins. Mix milk and egg together; add to dry ingredients. Mix gently.
  3. Place dough on the prepared cookie sheet pan, form the dough into an 8 inch circle about 1/2 inch thick. Cut into 8 to 12 pieces Bake about 12 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.
