Snack Mix is a good snack when playing cards, spending a day at the beach, watching a movie or anytime you want some snacking food.
A fantastic snack for taking on long walks, car rides, lunch or at home for a quick pick-me-up.

Servings 6 cups
- 1/2 cup butter or coconut oil
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp seasoning salt or garlic salt
- 3 cups corn chex
- 3 cups wheat chex
- 2 cups mini cheese crackers
- 1 1/2 cups mixed nuts and/or pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds
- 1 cups pretizels or bagel chips
- 1/2 cups dried fruit
- 1/2 cups banana chips
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Melt butter in large roasting pan in oven (5 minutes). Saute garlic until tender then add in seasonings.
Add remaining ingredients (add dried fruit and banana chips after cooking so they will not over dry out) and mix until coated.
Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool, and store in airtight container
Melt butter in large microwave-safe bowl on HIGH. Stir in garlic and seasonings, then remaining ingredients (add dried fruit and banana chips after cooking) until coated. Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH 5-6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool, and store in airtight container.
Proceed as with the baked version but place on dehydrator shelves and bake at 130F for about 2 hours. Stir about every 1/2 hour.
